When a language learner is at the B2 level of the CEFR, they:

can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.

– can understand the main ideas of a complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization.

– understands the main ideas of a text that is complex. Capable of producing language that is both clear and informative on a wide variety of topics, as well as explaining a stance on a topical issue by providing the benefits and drawbacks of a number of different solutions being considered.
